EBEN-UK is the UK association of the European Business Ethics Network

about us

EBEN-UK was established in 1994 as the UK association of the European Business Ethics Network. Our purpose is to provide a forum for academics and practitioners to discuss and debate issues to do with business ethics / corporate social responsibility.

We aim to publicise the importance of business ethics and corporate social responsibility, to facilitate the production of high quality academic research and writing, and to act as a useful resource for students and practitioners operating within the discipline. We are a not-for-profit organisation that relies on the voluntary efforts of the executive and membership for our continuing operation. We seek to keep running costs to a minimum so that our income from membership and conference fees is used solely for meeting our aims.

Our parent organisation, the European Business Ethics Network, was established in 1987 as a cross-European network of academics and practitioners. Since then, many national associations have been launched, affiliating to the European parent body. Eben also runs an annual conference in a major European city, a research conference and other events.
